Server StatusWhat is Gaming Buzz?
I decided to create Gaming Buzz because I couldn't find any bots, whatsoever, for general gaming news. I found OLD ones, but nothing that worked today.
It's a pretty basic bot. All it does is fetch new articles from various sources and posts them in a channel on Discord.
Instructions on setting up Gaming Buzz
You must designate a channel for the news to be posted to by using the command /setchannel
. This will start an interactive request for you to choose a channel.
After you choose a channel, you need to select the sources by using the command /selectsource
. There are currently 14 sources where you can receive news from. You can choose as many as you would like.
After you set the channel and sources, the news might take a while to show at first as you will only receive it as its posted on its source. If you would like to run a test, you can use the command /fetchnews
. This will fetch the last news article from one of the sources and post it in the same channel you use the command.
